--Feel free to read before playing--
> Well, the Hellescape demo is finally finished.
> This project is something I have spent a lot of time on, and I’m really grateful that, over the course of the demo’s development, I’ve garnered a small audience of people who care enough about the game to want to play it.
> Hellescape as a whole... the world that surrounds it, the story it tells is something that means a lot to me. Much of myself, I feel, has been put into it. I hope you enjoy it, to you who are reading this.
--QUESTIONS TO ANSWER--
A couple of days ago, I asked you guys about any questions you had for the game. So now I’m answering! :D
Q: > "Will the full version be pay to access? And is there any way I can directly support the project financially?"
A: > The full version WILL be pay to access, yes. That being said, that won't be finished for a long...LONG time. The demo will be free though. And as far as financial support, given the demo does well enough, I MAY open up a Kickstarter. Fingers crossed!
Q: > "Will the demo saves transfer onto the full game (when it's out)?"
A: > Probably not, no. The demo and the full version of the game are expected to be fairly different from each other on release, so keeping your old data from years ago wouldn't make much sense. Also, I don't think I could make it possible if I wanted to LOL.
Q: "Can you pet cats?"
A: I'm fully serious when I say this, but you might actually hate cats after you play this.
Q: > "how long did it take you to make?" "
A: > I started making HELLESCAPE around April of 2024. I've spent around a year and 8 months working on it. Although, the idea of HELLESCAPE itself is years old, it's been brewing in my noggin since I was in like, high-school.
Q: > "How much will the full game cost when it's out?"
A: > As of now, I only want to price the game at $10.00. This will probably stay the same when it's finished.
Q: > "Hi, do you have advice for anyone who wants to make a game?"
A: > turn back while you still can
Q: > "Besides undertale do you have any other main inspirations for the game?"
A: > I'm so happy someone asked this. Super Paper Mario, from a narrative standpoint, is my biggest inspiration for this game. Those who've played that game can probably tell. I played the game when I was like, eight years old, so it's story, characters and overall humor was already writtin into me from a young age. CaveStory is also a big inspiration for this game. If you just compare COMMA's design and CURLY's, it's super apparent.
